In 1992, he started golf and participated in various junior golf tournaments in the Philippines, Japan, Australia, and the United States. From 17 to 21 years old, he studied in Florida, U.S.A. and was coached by World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame Instructor Mike Adams, who ranked 6th in the top international instructors by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.
When he returned in the Philippines, he played in top amateur events like the Philippine and Singapore Amateur Championships. He won the Manila Golf Club Championship in 2006. When he turned professional, he played in the Philippine Golf Tour, ASEAN Golf Tour, and Asian Tour Qualifying School.
Along the way, he also became an entrepreneur but remained as an instructor, teaching the game part time to various clients in different locations around the metro.
Venjo became Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified in San Francisco, California, U.S.A. TPI uses a holistic approach and innovative technologies helping golfers improve their performance.
Because he has been teaching golf for a decade now, he decided to take up his game to the next level by sharing his masterful skills with others.
With the goal of truly becoming a world-class game-changer, in the latter part of 2016, he earned his Level 1 Instructor's Certification in BioSwing Dynamics in Zurich, Switzerland, making him the first of his kind in Asia.
BioSwing is also known as “the swing of the future” which could revolutionize your golf game. BioSwing Dynamics equips instructors to personalize your training and apply their expert knowledge of the swing with your unique biomechanics.
Venjo returned to Florida, U.S.A. in early 2017 and further improved his instructor skills, attending teaching seminars at the PGA Merchandise Show.
He is the first in the Philippines to use Smart2move force plates, a Swiss-based company that specializes in Ground Reaction Force Technology. He uses modern golf technology equipment like golf launch monitors and golf force plates where one’s swing data is scientifically measured, and not just guessed.
Venjo’s personal core values of persistence, consistency, punctuality, optimism, and innovation fuels everything that he does as a top-notch golf instructor. He aspires to share these winning values with his golf mentees to bring out their full potentials.
The current clientele whom he mentors range from lawyers to entrepreneurs, even parents of junior golfers who play the game. His versatility as an instructor enables him to teach people ages 4 to 90 years old of those looking to improve their swing flaws and those who want to hone their skills in golf.
